I'll start by saying the restaurant is well designed and has a real rural-italian vibe. It's major downside was the quality difference between the dishes. Some of the dishes were very good, others were just OK and one was literally inedible. We started with the beef carpaccio - we got served very thick pieces of meat, probably 2 or 3... More

Authentically decorated restaurant with a very friendly staff. As a starter we were given bread and olive oil, free of charge. I had a very nice and authentic spaghetti carbonara and a tiramisu for dessert. The waiter came to our table with parmesan that he grated directly on our dishes.

Truly one of the best Italian food experiences. Centrally based, very authentic, with friendly staff and amazing food. Both risotto and pasta were great, but the atmosphere is what counts - I felt lost in Puglia while being in the very heart of Prague! Great wines, a little on a pricier side. A little cute touch is that they bring... More

We were looking for somewhere to have lunch after walking all morning, and we found this restaurant right in front of the Spanish synagogue. The food was delicious, and the price very reasonable (we ended up really full, with two dishes per person, glass of wine and coffee for 20 euro per person) Highly recommended

We stumbled upon this restaurant whilst exploring and liked the look of one of the pastas on the specials menu, and it was actually one of the best pastas we've ever had! The portions are generous, and the food is very well prepared and presented. Wonderful complimentary bread, and great inexpensive house wine. Relaxed but elegant atmosphere. A good choice... More

I have visited this restaurant about 3 years ago with an Italian friend of mine, expert in fine cuisine and he was full of praise about the quality of the food, service, wine, etc. This time it was a different experience. The carpaccio was with almost no taste, tagliatelle with mushrooms were definitely not al dente and with the mushrooms... More

Wanted some change for pork knee & goulash. Well this one did it. High standard Italian food and lots of small little details that worked out fine. Not the cheapest choice in Prague, but money well spent imo. Yea, and the pasta was al dente, like it should.

Having not reserved a table anywhere in the city centre for a Friday, (booking anywhere is more or less essential at the weekend even in November) we walked the streets near and around the Old Town Square in search of a good meal. By chance, we came upon Aldente. There is nothing remarkable about the look of the place and,... More

I booked this restaurant 3 weeks ago for 20 friends who were visiting Prague to celebrate our friends. I visited the restaurant the night before to finalise plans, it was agreed that 2 tables of 10 would be best, and the waitress was kind enough to recommend an excellent bakery where we could pick up a cake. For our friend.... More

Description
Aldente restaurant is all that a true Italian trattoria should be - we offer a cosy interior, homelike atmosphere, pleasant service and most of all authentic Italian cuisine based not only on homemade pasta, but also fresh fish or various dishes made of genuine Tuscan beef and pork. We serve a generous selection of wines from all Italian regions, as well as grappa and other digestives.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
