I emailed the restaurant and asked for a nice table for my wife and I for her birthday and they did not disappoint. We had a lovely romantic evening. They even put flowers on the table for her which no other table had. The restaurant...More

My wife and I had been advised that this restaurant serves very good, traditional food, though we were not told exactly where is was. We were staying at the Grand Hotel Union and we were told to go around the back and the restaurant was...More

Traditional Slovenian restaurant that has occupied this location for decades. Suspect that it might cater to tour groups as there was traditional music and dancing taking place at the front. We therefore chose to sit in the back. Both of us had goulash with polenta...More

On September 19, 2017 my wife and I had lunch and dinner at Gostilna Sestica. This is the oldest restaurant in Ljubljana. The service was excellent and both meals were delicious. The Old World surroundings made this large restaurant feel cozy. I recommend it highly.
