10 meters away from the main alley and the crowds this is a small, cozy restaurant with Mediterranean cuisine. Also offers perfect beef, pork and turkey meat. Individual and personal attitude to all guests.

Taste was good, but somehow the little details kept screwing everything up! First of all my girlfriend got a three piece of a clamm shell in her risotto, which is quite dangerous for teeth of you imagine, and then I found a piece of squid in my French fries. That's disturbing for me as I absolutely refuse to eat anything... More

Very tasty food for a reasonable price depending on the quality of food. I liked the atmosphere. I like Piran and the food there.

If you want to eat a fish, meat or local “cevap cici” go there. We were there with two kids, 2 and 4 and being honest, it is not a restaurant to go with kids. If you are a couple or more adults, you are at the right place. We had some starters, “prsut”, olivas, very nice. Soups were really... More

Finding somewhere to eat in an unfamiliar town is always a challenge. After some reflection, I decided that reasonably-priced wine in carafe, simple local food, a shortish menu (to avoid the freezer) and a small place without a plastic menu outside should constitute the guidelines. And so we came across the "Osteria vecchia" or Stara Gostilna as it is in... More

Got a chance to savour authentic Istrian food in a really quaint restaurant. I needed assistance with the menu and the staff were okay. You have to meander the alleyways to locate the place!

We had a nice dinner here. There didn't seem to be much English from the staff so don't expect too much, but the seafood plate for two was 20€, which is 15€ less than most places. We also shared an octopus salad and were not disappointed on both counts. Not sure why, but maybe because when we arrived we were... More

This restaurant was very near our hotel and we spotted it recommended in Lonely Planet Guide, so we were keen to try it. So when we wandered by at lunchtime and saw a blackboard with various set menus on it, we sat down at once. Excellent fish soup followed by sardines one day, Fish soup followed by sea bass the... We read about the place in Lonely Planet, and somehow accidentally hit on it browsing Piran narrow lanes. We dined twice out of 4 nights. Which speaks volumes. We had outstanding fish soup, second best in our experience, great grilled sardines with garlic, excellent (to our taste) house Malvasia (EUR10 per litre, and litre we had!), and rounding up with... One of the worst meals we have ever had. Watered risotto with a selection of seafood which turned out to be long grain rice with a few shrimps and tasteless sauce, followed by a seafood platter, all of which was overcooked and tasteless. We didn't stick around for dessert. I'd like to say that the staff made this experience better... More
