Traditional Hungarian cuisine with friendly and helpful staff. We shared the Hungarian tapas as a starter and both had pork as main course. Hungarian white wine recommended by waiter. Pancakes and sponge cake for dessert. Delicious!

The four main courses we ordered were all delicious. The steaks and duck breast tender and cooked very well. The waiters are excellent, offering helpful information about how the food is served. They were friendly and humorous which made it a pleasant dining experience. It was very reasonably priced fit the high standard of food. Would definitely recommend

Returned months later after my last experience to find same waiter Tamas who is an excellent server. Drinks came within 20 minutes with delicious bread an spread. Soups were all great. We had Fogas fish, duck breast and veal. All tasty and well presented. Finish with espresso. Repeat second good experience. Place was at least 70% full. Reasonable price for... More

Our party had a variety of dishes - Hungarian Mangalica pork with a side of potato noodles (also with cheese) and cabbage salad with pickles - very tasty. The veal ragout was especially deliscious. The roasted sheep cheese salad was fulfilling and quite good; though listed as a starter it was enough for a whole meal. Service was good though... More

Taking a walk in Budapest with my girlfriend I saw this interesting restaurant on the street and we took the decision to taste it for dinner. Bad choice. Place empty where the personnel quiet embarassed served us a tragic rabbit and seemed to understand our (absolutely) low enjoying for the food. Probably a bad day also for the chef. I... More

Restaurant is fabulous! Firstly: staff is very symaptic, open and they really care about customer. Food is unbelievable tasty. You can find there good hungarian (but not only) cousine and for sure you will not be disappointed. Prices are good or even low compare to quality of meals. I fully recommend this place

Ate lunch here. It wasn't very busy. The wine was really good so that pleased me. I had duck breast on some sort of potato pattie. The duck was quite tough and the sauce just tasted like warm strawberry jam. My daughter's meal was much better, whatever meat she had was really tender. When we got outside we realised there... Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
