Nice cosy decorated Hungarian place, tradionally with live music (included free of charge!) however waiters in Jeans and T-shirts, paper table clothes! Basically the Hungarian (guess what mixed with Italian) cuisine is excellent but leadtimes of 40mins are too long. Our plates were ice cold (again as in the other place we were the night before). As this area is... More

Good food and wines/beers. The music (violin and zither) provided a good atmosphere whether eating or drinking

The food is below average... The steak tartare was really bad. Over seasoned to cover the steak unfreshness. Non-edible. The latte is over sweetened. Only saving grace is its average lamb and decent steak and its late opening hours. However both sauces are overpowering.

Americans visiting on vacation, our apartment host suggested Rosé for good authentic local cuisine. We loved it so much we certainly back for a second night. Live dinner music until about 23:00, then chill dancy music at just the right volume set the mood in the pretty dining area. Service was attentive and friendly, and our server even got out... More

Small and cozy restaurant with fine traditional Hungarian-Transylvanian foods and great selection of drinks and coctails. Live music at the evenings.

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
