We were in this steak house 2 years ago. Delicious wine and the variety of meat and the way it was cooked - just two words "Highly recommended"!

Went here last Saturday, the restaurant was pretty busy, we had a waiter and a waitress through out the evening who were both excellent. I went middle of the road on my steak selection and I am glad I did as it was very good. Some of the prices get ridiculous and I resisted my usual methodology of most expensive... More

I have been going to Prime for business dinners, it always has great food, good service, and an international atmosphere. Location is great, a few meters from Basilica. We have tried various steaks which are great; and great side dishes. However, i think that pricing could be better.

My husband and I went for a long walk throughout Budapest soon after we checked into our hotel. Among the first places that caught our eye was Prime Steak and Wine. We made note of it and committed to dining there one evening. We neglected to make note of the address and meandered the streets hoping to find it again... More

So you are looking for a place to enjoy beef? Look no further, because this is where you want to go. Budapest have some hidden gems and this is one for sure. If you order steaks above medium done, then do NOT go here, rather try out the local Mc Donalds, it will suit your taste better. If you are... More

My partner took me here for my birthday. The place is quite large and decorated mostly in black, but do not let that put you off as it is well done and clearly a professional interior designer has put a lot of effort and thought into it. The welcome when you arrive is friendly and welcoming and the service continues... More

Excellent service and food. The choice if meat is awesome. Combine dry aged with grade A foie gras for the ultimate combo.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
