I can recommend you this restaurant if you wanna try some traditional Hungarian foods. They have really good Goulash and Beef stew. The staff is kind, foods are delicious and the prices are low.

I've just poped in to have lunch and it was very delicious :) I had goose soup and bácskai rizseshús (rice with pork meat). Big portions and very good taste with fine spicing. I was very hungry, and I forgot to make a photo

Rakoczi Restaurant is situated on Rakoczi tér on a corner close to the market hall. It is totally unpretentious and, instead, focuses on good food at reasonable prices. The food is Hungarian so if stews, soups and breaded meat is something you like, this is it. The restaurant is family-run and the owners and the staff are always really nice.... More

We never expected such good food from such a small cosy restaurant. It is family owned and operated, therefore Saturday's and Sunday's close early Don't look at the exterior, interior, just sit. We asked the waiter his proposal. He chose us two dishes and good beer. After that big, tasty portion came. The best we ate in Budapest. The bill... More

We stumbled across this place after having been turned away from another restaurant in the area (one of those places where there are 40 empty tables but you're told you needed a reservation). This is a small local place with a good variety of Hungarian dishes. The wait staff were very friendly and recommended some dishes to us -- I... More

Had a wonderful brunch at Rakoczi sitting outside in the sunshine. The service was wonderful and the food absolutely great. I had an open ham sandwich which was lovely, and my friends had pancakes which they loved. Very reasonable prices!

We visited on a monday evening and enjoyed this place very much. It is visited by locals frequently and they serve great home-made beer (300 HUF for 0,5 l). We ordered a plate for two (3800 HUF) and got this huge platter with french fries, hungarian pickles and three kinds of meat filled with different kinds of cheese. The platter... More
