Good coffee and cakes. Good atmosphere and service in the past with tasteful live piano music. Shut at the moment

Wonderful cakes and sandwiches. You can also wash down your lunch or dinner with a glass of wine or prosecco

Not your usual book store cafe, but that is Budapest for you.Up the escalator to Lotz hall, with an amazing painted ceiling, and delightful coffee and cake. With a pianist providing the ambience, you are taken back to the turn of the century. An absolute must visit.

From other reviews I thought this place would be great. Maybe we got there too late in the afternoon. Cakes looked worn out, tables needed a good cleaning, piano music was really bad. Lovely ceiling and interesting idea. Did not stay.

We accidentally stumbled across this cafe, and then didn't leave for two hours as it was so glorious. The food (lunch, exotic soft drinks, cake and hot chocolate) was also very, very good.

I came by for a coffee at the end of my last day in Budapest. I can think of no better spot to enjoy a coffee, reflect on my trip, and completely relax. I wrote postcards to my friends and family while listening to the live piano music, and couldn't believe 2 hours had already passed when they started closing... More

One of the must-see places in Budapest. Located on Andrassy ut, a street home to the Opera and high-end/luxury stores. The building itself has also a very rich history. The amazing cafe is usually very crowded, with a good reason.
