Best burger I've ever tasted. Tasty food, good prices and big portions. Cezar salad is a little bit different but tasty

We called in here as they had live music playing. Ordered two red house wines got large ones. At 220HUF for a small wine about 55p!! It was very nice wine as well. So for two large wines we paid about £2.20. Bargain

Looked great with a guitar player for live music and a decent decor/set up. Had a large 'trendy' burger bar at one end. However, the lead male barman who took my basic order was drunk. The burger arrived promptly - bun n salad was fresh but the meat awful. Some flattened out tasteless processed muck. I had a glass of... More

A nice place for a great goulash :) been to few other places as well but this place certainly have a better goulash than many much advertised places. Cocktails are worth to try.

We stopped here on the way to Vorosmarty Square for New Year. The place was packed and staff worked very hard to serve everyone, although it felt like locals got preference. There was a live band squashed into a corner playing funny, funky tunes and generally having a laugh. Quite a fun atmosphere, mainly for younger people.

Went to Teli Kertem for soms simple food and that is just what we got. Music was a bit loud but maybe that was because we sat upstairs a bit to close to the speakers. The food was nice with a local twist. I had a Balkan burger with local seasoning. The burger was a bit overdone but huge! The... More

Ate here twice in succession whilst on a short visit. Limited menu - but good quality and sizable portions of (mostly) traditional Hungarian food - served at very good prices. It doubles as a music bar so expect some background noise - so more suitable for an informal dinner with friends and family. Ideal if visiting the ruin bars further... More

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
