I was a little sceptical about going to La Botte, given that it's on a main tourist walkway. However, I was wrong to be concerned. The quality of the food is excellent, as is the service. Pizza's are rectangular shaped and come in two sizes, 40cm and 70cm. The 40cm pizza with a starter was enough for me. I recommend... More

Nice Italian restaurant. Cosy atmosphere and rustic-style interior. All of us (four people) ate pizza and all the pizzas were really tasty! Also service was great and fast. They also had really great wines. We recommend and we could go agin!

Lovely pizza, stone baked in a clay oven. Really attentive staff, happy to help. Nice full restaurant even on a Tuesday night. Good price 16500 (~£55) for five pizza, two beers and three drinks.

The food was really tasty, interior design makes it cosy and nice for a late dinner or supper. Staff is really friendly and professional, so basically no bad things to say about the place. It's a bit pricey but worth paying a visit.

Pizzas were incredibly sparse on toppings and the description 0.7m is misleading since it is essentially rectangular and not a circle of diameter 0.7m Our pizzas were brought out with a gap of 20 mins in between so that one of us had almost finished eating by the time others could start Service is generally unfriendly though multilingual. They made... More

Eat here early Sunday evening, not that crowded. Food generally good, the pizza was a little sparse on toppings, the Tortoline was delicious but not a large quantity. Service not that speedy or attentive. So generally ok but no more than that.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
