I love these classic “Transylvanian chimney cakes”. We tried a number of flavors - coconut, vanilla and nut - all came out hot and freshly made. Quick, friendly service. If you’re in Budapest, you have to try these!

I have bought one on the Gellert's hill next to Citadel. It was fresh made, very hot and very very tasty. The smell was everywhere and the cake was heavenly soft. I really love this street food. You must try once you are in Hungary.....More

After reading the reviews, I expected to find an excellent product. Equal to others in the city, only more expensive. The owner is very rude. I tried asking for information on the product and I asked for a cinnamon addition, he answered me very badly....More

This treat is one that you must try when you come to Budapest. We have tried almost every one flavour\topping there is and I would recommend all of them, except maybe chocolate which didn't impress us. Most likely you will get it fresh and still...More

Kurtoskalacs is one of the most popular pastries in Hungary and Transylvania. It is made from sweet, yeast dough (raised dough), of which a strip is spun and then wrapped around a cylindrical baking spit, and rolled in granulated sugar. It is baked until its surface gets a golden-brown color. During the baking process the sugar stuck on kurtoskalacs becomes caramel and forms shiny, crispy crust on the cake. The traditional version is served only with caramelised sugar or walnut, but we provide it also with additonal flavours such as coconut, cinnamon, vanilla and chocolate. It is a must if you visit Hungary/Budapest! :)
