Recommended by Sofitel Hotel Chain Bridge we walked a few streets having requested an outdoor table for 10. We arrived with 14 instead, finding an outside table took effort on Staff's part, gracious and helpful was their attitude. Menus arrived, drinks soon after and absolutely gorgeous food and service followed in a timely manner. Great friendly atmosphere, excellent service and... More

We stopped by the Rezkakas Bistro because we read so many good things about it and also wanted to experience "the world's best gulasch soup". We walked by on Saturday afternoon and there was live music, nice stylish people and a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. We enjoyed hungarian rose sparkling wine, had the soup and also a wonderful chicken... More

Recommended by my hotel when asking for a dinner/show (like Rick steves) - service was top notch.. - performance was fairly sad on a Saturday night.. it was a couple pieces every 30 minutes or so.. not continuous.. and was music only.. no dance.. not really a dinner show.. more of a dinner that happens to have some like music..... Had an early dinner here with my husband. The restaurant had a smart feel with white tablecloths and silver cutlery. The service was attentive and friendly. Not a big menu but a decent range to choose from. We shared a hors oeuvres platter to start which included goose liver pate, Hungarian sausage, carpagio of beef and soft cheese. Our main... More

This did not really feel like a bistro, more like an actual restaurant. Food was good (great goulash soup) but portions were small for a bistro. Wine was in the expensive side, even the wine served by glass. Service and live music was excellent. Main course selection was really limited. Dessert was expensive and on my opinion not worth the... Great ambiance, stellar service, wonderful live music. We tried the breaded pork ribs and the Goulash and both were dreamy! Definitely one of the best meals we've ever had. Perfect dinner experience and not expensive. Can't wait to go back to Rezkakas!

My husband and I had dinner here in December. The food was delicious, the waitstaff quirky but superb, and the wine selection fabulous. We had the farmers platter appetizer, which had the best pate we had in central Europe over our three week vacation. For a main course I had the duck and cabbage noodles which worked incredibly well together.... More

Me and my wife had dinner in this restaurant. She had duck and I had chicken for the main course; both were good. We enjoyed the live music by the trio. The service was also good.

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
