We had the calamari and the muscles here with Belgian beers. The food was very good but it came with the wrong sauce. Service was good and the ambience was excellent.

Stayed in Budapest for four nights. Two of which we dined here. Enough said. Love the ambiance, the food and the beers. Fanastic place.

The brasserie is along the Danube river promenade and it is easy to miss. The choice of Belgian beers is impressive. The food quality very good. We had pork knuckle (very good and enough for 2) and chicken breast stuffed with wallnuts and Roquefort ( very good). The prices are reasonable. The staff cordial with some English difficulties. This place is on the Danube, so it started off well with the nice view. Inside is cozy, compact but not cramped. Service is quick and friendly. Beer selection is very wide and should satisfy any preference. Then the food arrived, and we were delighted with every dish. Even our vegetarian was happy. The last treat was the bill, which... This restaurant was near our hotel, so we stopped in for dinner one night. The place was packed and rather lively, but we were given a table right away even without a reservation. The beer selection is great - no complaints there. My wife had a hot chocolate which was also quite good. For our entrees, my wife had the... More

I know most people will go for the enormous selection of beers, but the mussels are very good too. I very much recommend.

Just came back from Budapest and had two evening meals in this place. The restaurant was nearly full all the time with a very good atmosphere. The food on offer was very well priced and a delight to eat. If you are a beer drinker then you are in for a good night!!!

we stumbled upon this gem by accident after returning from buda castle. it's a bit off but it's worth it. the service was welcoming and our host sure did make us laugh. With a wide selection of beers and very tasty main courses this place need to be a must!

We only chose to eat here because it was close to the hotel and we were needing a quick lunch before heading to the airport. The whole experience was a little underwhelming. To start with there were only two other people in the place which made it feel a little unloved. A few more did come in but it clearly... More

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
