If you are looking for something little bit special but cosy and familiar this is right place for you. Super nice staff. Plates are nicely arrangened but portion are not big so order a starter or a dessert, it will be worth it!

Having read all the glowing reviews we were really looking forward to our meal here. Staff were lovely and welcoming and the interior is cosy and pleasant. Starter of goose liver pate was great but main course of wild boar stew with dumplings with plum turned out to be stew (lovely tender meat) with 3 pieces of bread. We asked... More

Dear Lazychris1954, First af all thank You for visiting our restaurant. We are happy that you liked our goosle liver starter. After that you ordered exactly the following dish: Hungarian wild boar „stew”, bread dumpling with plum. So the stew was marked with a quotation mark, that means there is a little twist in it. We make a normal stew... More

We were in the fisherman bastion and looking for an early dinner. We followed our instincts (and tripadvisor reviews) and walked like 15 minutes until we reach this restaurant. Excellent goulash soup, and 10/10 pork and duck. Was a pity that they did not have boar. Perfect service, they call us a taxi at the end of our visit. 100%... More

Located somewhat outside the bustle of the city but well worth the walk! Great atmosphere, delicious food, excellent value! Family-run business with no hint of "chain restaurant"!

It's been a while since I've tried something so good. The dishes are served nicely and taste exceptional, though price is still affordable. Don't forget to try homemade chocolate cake! We didn't try wines but crafted Hungarian beers were wonderful!

One of our Hungarian friend recommended the restaurant as a must visit while in Budapest. My friend used to work very nearby and went with friends for a coffee and specially for mushroom soup. Food is truly outstanding quality, beautiful combination of flavors.

tucked away in a side street with no other commercial properties in sight this is a hidden delight. Warm and welcoming staff and interior. Interesting menu with traditional Hungarian dishes cooked to a really high standard. Good value too. Would really recommend especially as a contrast to the very commercial restaurants in Pest. Lovely walk back along the river to... More

The review title sums up this restaurant. I liked its local atmosphere with a good complement of local people eating in there.A bit off the tourist beaten track, but not difficult to find.
