The biggest surprise of our holiday in Budapest was the quality of Hungarian wine. Having no knowledge of the wine growing regions Klassz is an excellent way of getting an introduction. This is an excellent restaurant with the bonus of a wine shop "out the back". You can buy wine to take away or sample wines by the glass (which... More

We went to Klassz to enjoy good food and excellent wine. We weren't disappointed. The wine list offers mainly Hungarian wines, and all by the glass at very reasonable prices. In addition the waiter makes recommendations and offers some background to each wine..... useful when you have no idea of their wine regions and many of the grapes used in... More

My niece and I had dinner twice at Klassz when we visited Budapest nearly five years ago after it was recommended to us by our hotel concierge. We both thoroughly enjoyed it - it was reasonably priced, had delicious food, and offered an "Old World" type service that is rare to find, I knew that my husband would also enjoy... More

Had dinner here and what a great decision. Lovely well presented food served by more than pleasant staff. Food was a mix of Hungarian and French style. A little bit more expensive than other Budapest eateries but great value for money. A busy place with Hungarians and tourists alike which suggests they are getting it right. Terrific selection of wine... More

Off the Main Street this place is a mixture of a wine merchant and restaurant. Strange but it works Tables at the front as you walk in. But up some stairs and towards the rear a huge selection of wine for sell. All the staff are attentive helpful and smiley. We asked them to recommend the wine. They didn't disappoint.... More

Our family of 4 visited the place on a Thursday afternoon. We were walking all day (our 1st day in town) so we were a bit tired all 4 of us. Service was friendly. Decoration was strict and the kitchen semi-open with a large window on the 1/2 floor. Food was fantastic (we tried cod, soups, and pasta). Wine selection... More

We went there primarily for its famous foie gras. Unfortunately, this delectable dish was not available that night. Even so, we much enjoyed our dinner. The grilled cheese over greens was delicious, as was the carrot soup. Both the beef stew over noodles with cottage cheese and the mushroom risotto and bison over polenta were all very tasty, too. A... More

Their menu is not long, but whatever you eat is delicious. We nearly tried all the menu, loved them all. Wines are worth mentioning. They are proud of their wine variety. Good place for fine wine lovers. For sure want to go again.

This place was recommended to us. They don't take reservations so decided to chance our luck for lunch. We quickly got a table (after 1pm). Smallish menu but everything is lovely! It's owned by Budapest wine society so as expected, excellent wine choice with expert recommendations! We enjoyed it so much, we returned the following day. Easy to find, almost... More
