The whole house of Mala Garden is a memory of Bali (Indonesia) at the Lake of Balaton, the concept is good and unique. You can choose from traditional Hungarian foods (goose liver, mangalica pork etc), but the oriental offer is also great, you find Malay and Thai dishes too. The restaurant is rather expensive, you can count about 10000 forints... More

We tried ducks (both versions) and venison - it was really very good. But there was another dish that proved their chef had mastered his skills: beef cheeks. It's extremely difficult to serve that stuff in such an elegant way! Wide choice of Hungarian wines - prices start at 3.500 HUF, majority at 4-6.000 HUF. Desserts are just another story:... More

Good location, right on the lakeside. Very nice design. Polite staff, great food, some interesting experiments on the Hungarian kitchen, but they also have Asian meals, good ones.

We discovered during a walk by chance. Very nice staff, polite service and delicious food. The staff is polite, but unfortunately not in a hurry. The restaurant is on the shore, a very nice place. Fashionable, trendy area, so it is season luck to find a free space. The Hungarian food and oriental flavors.

My BF decided that this was the town to stop through on our way to Ljubljana - of course he does not believe in researching cities beforehand (working on this issue..lol) I quickly did a search on Trip and found this spot. Relaxing atmosphere, nice menu selection and right on the water (why else stop here if your not coming... More

Located right on the lake, this Thai restaurant is very serious about their food. We had a great meal of grilled Seabreem and their fabulous version of ratatouille. The other restaurants in the area very tired and worn and we were so happy we chose Mala Garden. If the weather is great when you're there definitely ask for a table... More

While the location is pretty and the restaurant is clean and attractive, the staff are not as friendly as in Budapest (I got spoiled). And the food... well the Thai coconut milk soup was tasty though not at all spicy, the Guam fish platter and the Thai noodles with prawns were terrible. no flavour that could be appreciated. The noodles... More

Despite a crowded Sunday, the restaurant was full but pleasant. We did not book in advance, still they found a table for us in 5 minutes. Service, staff was specially kind and attentive! I can only congratulate! level of service is competing with the best restaurants. This not usual at Balaton lake.... Food is a bit Thai, a bit international... More

Description
Mala Garden Hotel’s restaurant in Siófok offers an exotic atmosphere matching the hotel’s design, where guests can marvel at the magnificent view overlooking Lake Balaton all year round. The international cuisine and the menu is accordingly a composition of Far Eastern, Malay and Thai dishes and flavours, but devoted followers of healthy diets will not be left disappointed either with the wide variety of salads and fish dishes that await them. For those after Hungarian flavours, we have revisited a number of our cuisine’s traditional recipes and are proud to present our interpretations in the menu. Mala Garden Restaurant’s terrace has a magnificent view of Siófok’s Golden Shore; during the summer, you may dine or drink your favourite cocktail in a genuine beach atmosphere. We have a rich selection of Hungarian wines, and to let as many try them as possible, the wine specialties of the Balaton, Villány and Tokaj regions are available by the glass. Every Friday night in June, July and August, live music is played to add to the beach atmosphere.
