Leib is well known and has a good name. The location in Old Town inner court is also very nice. But the dining experience did not unfortunately match the expectations and the nice surroundings. Biggest disappointments were the unsure and amateurish service and the constant...More

It's simply our favourite place in Tallinn. Atmosphere, food and service are exceptional. All the food is locally sourced and seasonal so you will get the best of Estonian cousine. Wine list is very decent as well as craft beer selection, something for everyone. Definitely...More

If you would like to have a nice meal at a reasonable price in a very pleasant environment, this is the place to go.. the only downside is it's size and crowds. We did not get bothered at all, the service did not get disturbed...More

Entrance to the restaurant is up a flight of stone steps which brings you into a small courtyard dotted by a few sculptures. Initially could not figure out why Sean Connery and Robert Burns had their busts in the garden until I read that the...More

Quirky little restaurant. We were on the lower floor - atmosphere maybe not quite as good but option to take sheepskins to sit on! Food was excellent, quite complex and skilled in preparation - but quite a short menu. Wine list extensive and - unusually...More

Nicely tucked away from the public eye with a charming garden. The servers will give you a back story for every meal and restaurant itself. Food itself is strongly average. From seven ordered dishes, only one (an entree) was a stand out. Price is not...More

The restaurant is in a very attractive setting, tucked away in its own garden courtyard. Inside too, its tastefuly decorated but there the compliments stop. The food was tasty, if over priced, but the sting was the wine. The recommended wine was a bottle of...More

Dear Tripadvisor User Norman R, I am very sorry to hear about misunderstanding with our wine pricing. Barolo that you noticed is on the page of wines by the glass for a price of 11.50 EUR. I am very sorry if that has caused a...More

I go to Tallinn often for work and this restaurant has been my favorite go-to spot for years. Unfortunately the most recent visit proven to be a disappointment. I had a chicken broth cream soup with mushrooms and beef. The soup was way too salty....More

Leib is run by two professional foodies - a chef and a sommelier. Having our own restaurant is a dream come true for both of us. Leib means black bread in Estonian and we have chosen it to be our name for a reason! Good old local black bread - fresh, warm, simple, and honest - it's what we, Estonians, grow up with and what we dream about when away. It's what we are, really. Good bread is always made with soul. We are passionate about sharing goodies from our homeland. We work with local farmers and fishermen to create delicious yet simple dishes. Since most of our ingredients are local, the menu is always seasonal. Less is more- therefore our menu is compact and constantly changing. Hand-made bread, coupled with foods made from natural, local ingredients is a true gastronomic delight. Leib - soulful casual dining!
