Huge portions of great Portuguese food with the best potatoes we have had in Portugal. Sit inside rather than on the covered terrace for more atmosphere. See where the river flooded.

Went here with our 3 young kids for lunch and went for the restaurant's specials. The staff were very friendly and efficient, and we were lucky to get a seat outside. The portions are HUGE so think about ordering just a few to share. Warning: for lovers of tripe, liver, etc... (although other things are available as well).

We were lucky to get the opportunity to try the arroz sarrabulho, and it was superb. Nice restaurant with a very friendly and helpful staff. Located nearby the beatiful bridge in Ponte da Lima. It is well worth a visit.

We managed to sit outside which seems to be limited to certain times. I noticed a large number of people waiting to get into this restaurant at lunch so thought we should give it a try but for dinner and early. It did not disappoint. The food was amazing and frankly quite affordable for the quality. The Bacalau in mashed... More

I dined here with several pilgrims who were walking the Camino Portuguese. We sat at a shaded outdoor table with glorious views of the river and medieval bridge. I had a 'pilgrim menu' which consisted of a thick vegetable soup, tasty bread (Portuguese rolls and broa), breaded bachalau, salad, fried potatoes, water and coffee for 6 euros - fantastic value.... Me and a friend ate there. this restaurant is very popular among the locals - it was quite full at luch time. However thwe service was very god, food arrived within quite a short time, and the food was very good, and so were the prices. Not a fancy place but recommended.

We had lunch here with Portuguese friends. It was very poor. Bacalao that was hardly warm and tasteless - I think it had been cooked previously and warned up when ordered. Service was slovenly and not friendly. Desserts were satisfactory, but not outstanding. The house white Vinho Verde was good. For a total of almost 80 Euro for 4, this... More

The food is really tasty and the portiins are huge. We recommend "rojões de sarrabulho" and the "bomba" for desert. If you go there on Sunday for lunch you sould make a reservation for a table.

After crossing the footbridge into Ponte de Lima, directly on your left there is an unassuming restaurant, it is well worth stopping. Lots of locals eating there, a simple but good menu. We ordered the beef stew for two, lots of meat, potatoes and a nice salad. The local wine is not the greatest despite being served chilled & slightly... More

We found this restaurant while walking through the Ponte de Lima, crossing by the small city on our trip from Porto to Costa de Morte. As it was lunch time, there was a typical Portuguese menu including soup, 4 main courses to choose from, 0,5 l vinho verde (who whould choose water???) and of course a great small coffee afterwards!....
