We live here and one of the things we miss most about England is a decent curry but this restaurant is as close as we have found and we love it. So what if the waiters are wearing trainers? (see previous reviews!) - they are very helpful and friendly and most importantly, the food is great. Chicken Korai (hot), peshwari... More

We did not expect to find such a great Indian restaurant here in Tavira. Great Starters and the Madras Lamb was really nice as well! Great service!

We first had a "take away". We enjoyed the food so much that we went back the next week and had our meal in the restaurant that time. Excellent service. The staff were friendly and answered any questions concerning our food selection.

10 of us went New year's Eve we were expecting something special but felt we were in a cattle market. Service really bad. Everything got mixed up waiters were scruffy, they forgot to bring starter, two of us didn't get drinks that were ordered and to top it all up when we were sorting money for bill the waiter was... I was excited to have a nice Indian meal and that's what I got ! Apart from the Pashwari Naan which was an attempt to be one but not great. I tend to order my favourite dishes as I don't like to make a mistake, so Lamb Pasanda , Basmati rice and the odd naan was good. The waiters were... More

After 4 quite good visits, the 5th will be the last one ever...Low season, nobody there except us, 9 pax. From the beginning we felt not very welcome, the food was ok, but the service, no no no. As we were the only customers inside, we were throw out at 11h pm, even if our glasses were still full. We've... More

It is always difficult judging a restaurant on a wet night in November but the staff at Kohinoor did nothing to help this unfortunately. A TV screen showing football matches from last night lacked inspiration. Some members of staff walking through the restaurant dressed in horribly scruffy clothes and then the non-appearance of the waiter unless you shouted for him... More

Such fantastic service and food. Our server was a young man named Surmukh. He was very patient with us as we chose our food. When it came out, it was so freshly made. Absolutely amazing cooks there. Would totally go again:)
