Probably the best schnitzel in the valley! Pizza was also great. Nothing fancy (plastic table and chairs), but very cheerful.

During our stay in the area we decided to have dinner at this restaurant which was quite packed. We were offered a table indoors which has a very cosy and nice setting. However after placing our order the waitress came back to inform us that they ran out of pizza dough so three of the pizza's had to be replaced... More

2 good staff but not enough for 50+ customers . Have to wait 30 minutes for order then another 25 minutes for food. Room are overpriced for what we get. Never see something like that here....

Sat down on the patio with a great view, looking forward to eating something, but we watched the staff walk back and forth to other tables for so long, we finally left. We are patient and realize most of these restaurants have slow service, but we were ignored for far too long. We won't be back, especially based on the... More

My boyfriend took me to the Restaurant Schuetzen as it is one of his favourite memories of Lauterbrunnen from a previous visit. The ambience of the restaurant was really lovely and the staff were extremely friendly. Good traditional swiss food on the menu and it was delicious. We both had a different pork dish that were equally tasty. The presentation... More

Been here many times over the years. That is why we ignored the scruffy, unkempt look, and sat down anyway. The waiter curtly informed us that our requested item was not on the menu, and had never been served there. Even if true, not the way to address a customer. As to what we did have... Food was mediocre and... More

Food was ok and the service alright. Not difficult since we were the only guests. My wife found a big hair in her pasta and we got served extra French fries that we did not order. My wife did get a new portion that was hair free but after living in the US for a decade I kind of expected... More

Since we stayed here two nights, we took the breakfast buffet for both mornings. We were served the basic European breakfast of sliced lunch meats, cheese, yogurt, tomatoes, and American offerings of cereal, hard cooked eggs (Easter egg colored red) and two kinds of juices. Also there were croissants, hard rolls and two kinds of home-made breads that you sliced.... More

Beware!! Poor service. Will force you to charge in dollars and not Swiss francs even if you ask to charge in dollars.

The Schützen is a hotel and restaurant situated at the heart of the Bernese Oberland. It is not just the food that makes it a popular venue. The landscape of the Lauterbrunnen Valley - the so-called ?Valley of Waterfalls? - will take your breath away. The restaurant is situated at the foot of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and visitors can enjoy a wide range of sporting activities and the splendours of the natural environment. The menu serves local and international dishes. There is a particularly good selection of fondues, röstis and raclettes. The railway station at Lauterbrunnen is only a 5 minute walk away and the bus stop is just in front of the building.
