This place was very busy when we arrived but we were seated immediately outside until a table opened up for us inside where it was warmer. The fish and chips were excellent. Loved it!

I had a fish and a scoop of chips here and let me say they are the best hot chips I have had in years. The fish was good but next time I may go for a nice bit of cod. This place would be great for my Mum as she always asks when were away and we have Fish... More

We had an amazing feed of fish and chips. The fish was really fresh and the chips were not greasy, plus I liked the slice of lemon.

I recently visited after staying Akaroa for a day and saw the high ratings. I got fish and chips as per the standard order! They knew I was English so asked if I wanted extra salt, vinegar etc. on the things which is a nice touch and had a nice chat. The fish was very tasty as were the chips,... More

Clean fresh oil is a key factor in F&C and they do it well here. Combine that with top quality ingredients and you're guaranteed a top quality meal not the fetid offerings that many corner F&C shops serve up. The blue cod is a must try - very tasty. Order 1 scoop per person because the servings are smallish. The... More

I found the fish to be cooked perfect and lacking the fishy taste some fish have. I suppose this is more about the fish than the location but I enjoyed the fish and chips here more than other locations.

Great value for money. The day we were there so was a cruise ship so the line was massive. A long wait to order, but once ordered, food was ready quite quickly. Best fish and chips I have ever eaten.

Pouring with rain getting hungry, where to go for food, the best fish and chips shop in Akaroa of course. They are so good.

The food is simple, but the highest quality for fish and chips. Get a takeaway and eat on a bench overlooking the bay.

Visited here with my family and ended up a little disappointed. Frozen chips and small pieces of fish, which meant that you ended up with lots of batter and not much fish. I have to admit that I am comparing it to what we would get back in Scotland fresh potatoes and a single fillet of fish. I know you... More
