As regular visitors to Cafe Cortado, we dined this evening and were disgusted to see a dog - not only lying in the middle of the floor ‘inside the restaurant’ but in a position where you had to walk over or around it. After dinner...More

Tonight was "Locals' Night" and Cafe Cortado threw a lavish feast of complimentary stunning tapas, beautifully prepared and handed around by smiling, friendly staff - all on the house. To call it off we were treated to creme broiler and miniature bread and butter puddings....More

I had a Mediterranean pizza here that was one of the best I’ve tasted. Good wines, friendly server, warm atmosphere. Best dinner I had in Picton.

Greeted warmly on an early Sunday morning and my coffee was on the table promptly. It was made well but it is an average blend of beans. My vegetable stack with two extra poached eggs was excellent.

We usually go to a different Picton cafe but this time chose Cortado. Why have we not been here before?? Delicious food and very attentive staff. Highly recommended. Try the eggs benedict!

Cafe Cortado is located on the Picton waterfront with beautiful views over Queen Charlotte Sound and Picton marina. We have spacious outdoor and indoor dining areas. Our a-la-carte menus include fresh nz seafood including our delicious creamy seafood chowder and our very popular seafood platter. We use free range chicken and eggs in our menus and everything is cooked from scratch. We are the restaurant of choice for our local community for breakfast, lunch, dinner, pizzas, tapas as well as our wine and beer selection.
