The truest form of Tex-Mex I have found in the D.C. metro area. Many restaurants claim to be Tex-Mex but La Loma is the real deal! The top shelf margaritas made with Patron are super!

Fairly priced, fresh Mexican food. Friendly service. Lovely margaritas + piñacoladas. Hope they start a business in Etten-Leur, the Netherlands real soon. I would bring all my friends. Especially at happy hour. (4:00 pm-7.00 pm)

Nice location on Capitol Hill, with a pleasant terrace for nice days. Selection and food is typical, not bad but nothing special.

Some of the worst Tex-Mex I've ever had. Restaurant seemed dirty overall. The queso was almost certainly just melted Velveeta. Fajitas were tough and flavorless. Honestly do yourself a favor and just don't go.

Went while killing time before joining a tour at union station. Good service and food came quickly. It wasn't the best Mexican I've ever had (nachos grande and he had tacos supreme) but was tasty enough. Portions were too large but that seems to be the norm. I wouldn't rush back but it did the job: quick dinner convenient to... More

Great for inexpensive, but tasty (and fast) Tex-Mex dishes. nothing really outstanding, but certainly above average quality (for what it is) at this charming little local restaurant. yup, it's on Cap Hill and you're likely to run into Senate staffers grabbing lunch or a margarita after a busy day. it's NOT high class Rosa Mexicana and it's NOT authentic Mexican... Near to Union Station but far enough away from it to be fairly quiet. Ate outside on a warm December day with 3 friends. They ate burritos (seemed to like what they got) and my quesadillas were perfectly made. Chips brought to the table were good but not to die for (neither the salsa was over the top either but... Arrived at 9pm and asked if they were still serving. The sulky waitress came to us every couple of minutes asking for our order, giving us no time to read the menu and pointing out the kitchens were closing. This was precisely why I'd asked if they were still serving. If there were time constraints, she should have said no.... More

This was really a treat! The portions were so big and scrumptious! One of the persons in our party had tamales & he shared! I want to tell you, it was the best tamale I have ever tasted!!!! My husband. & I had the chili rellanos and they were delicious! Excellent service, pleasant outdoor dining!

I would recommend Taco Bell over this dump. It is a nice location a few blocks east of Union station away from the touristy areas. As for food, go to the French restaurant or German one next to this place. Food is bland and cheaply made. Shrimp served is the extra small, tiny. salad shrimp. The kind you get for... More
