The atmosphere was good.. food wasn't Moroccan at all! I ordered a tajine.. it wasn't good, same with Passtila. As I said very nice place, but unfortunately I was very upset with their food!

Food was fairly good and priced fairly, and the belly dancer was very good. However, service was the downfall. 45 minute wait between courses. 20 minute gap between serving of dessert and serving of tea to accompany it. If you ask for faster service you are assured it is about to happen but it never does.

We had heard some mixed reviews but decided to give it a try. MISTAKE. The service was generally good, until the place was a bit over half full. Then service was nearly non existent. I ordered the mussels appetizer. The sauce was tasty, but the mussels were over cooked and several had an off taste. They were served with only... More

I love Morrocan food. This was terrible. Overpriced, bland food and off-hand service. They seemed to be more interested in their buddies than in their clients. Dark and dirty tables. Don't waste your time or your money.

The restaurant has a pre-fixe menu, but there is a vegetarian selection. They never asked anyone at our table, just served us. Thinking the courses they were brining out would not be questionable. It was also difficult to ask, or get water because they were incredibly understaffed. Our entree ended up being just cous cous. Really? Then they charged us... More

It was OK. Nothing to write home about. The rice and meet were tasty and the kabobs as apps were good.

We visited on a Tuesday in January and the restaurant had about 10 people inside. There was some big party going on upstairs. My friend walked in the front door and the receptionist rudely told her to go back outside and go up the stairs -- only to later realize she was not heading to the party, but to the... More

I really enjoyed the Moroccan mint tea here with my friend. It is a dish, I looked forward to when I visit Moroccan places. The décor has a typical Moroccan touch to it, with the dewans and the tapestry. I had purchased a coupon on Restaurant.com and wanted to try this place with my friend. They have a Moroccan meal... My husband and I stayed up the street and thought it would be a treat to enjoy a Moroccan meal. We ordered a few appetizers, two meals and dessert. The hummus was excellent, as was everything else, but the baklava and moroccan mint tea was the best we have ever had! If you dine here, you have to order the... More

Came here Saturday night and had a birthday party for my wife. The whole experience was excellent. I called about two weeks in advance and made a reservation for 30 people. The person told me no problem! There is a fixed menu on the weekends. This restuarant is great for groups. It can handle large groups of people very well.... More

Description
Our Executive Chef and Owner, Amin Jabri is excited to bring Morocco to Washington DC and share his experience and his love of food with all of our guests. Born in Morocco and raised in a house that catered to royals and heads of state, Chef Amin learned early on how to prepare the delicious and savory food that is so unique to Morocco. After attending culinary school in France, Chef Amin returned to Morocco to begin his own catering company. After moving between Africa, Europe, and Morocco, Chef Amin came to settle in Washington DC. Here he is able to do what he loves and share a little taste of Morocco with the nation's capital. Marrakesh P Street is a wonderful combination of the taste of Morocco and warm hospitality. Upon entering the doors, you will be greeted with the lush atmosphere of a classic Moroccan lounge. Order from some of our classic, traditional Moroccan dishes and experience something completely unique in the heart of Dupont Circle.
