The service was outstanding. The food was delicious; however, the price was a little steep for a casual dinner.

My close friend’s wife reserved the room at this restaurant for his 40th birthday. The A/C didn’t work and no one notified her prior to arrival. They didn’t said that they couldn’t get an A/C company out because they were closed. Total bunch of bull....More

My wife and I chose the special...a huge tomahawk rib steak...medium RARE! The food, bread, and decor were very good and as we hoped to find for a rather expensive steak house. As usual, the service is very important and we had a very good...More

Enjoyed a delicious small filet mignon with grilled asparagus. Everything was well prepared. Others had calamari appetizer, shrimp diablo, and rockfish. Everyone liked the food as well as the wines and beer.

Dinner with a high school friend at Bobby Van’s Steakhouse. Two glasses of Cabernet to start. Then a dozen oysters, which we split. Two bone-in Ribeyes, both with sides of creamed spinach. Everything was very good, as was the service. The only bad news was...More

Description
Bobby Van’s Grill marks the return of the powerful New York City chop shop to the downtown D.C. area but with a new twist. This eclectic New American Steakhouse now boasts a slightly more casual family friendly atmosphere as well as catering to the Washington politician. This 536-seat D.C. destination is fully loaded! There’s four private, intimate and upscale dining rooms with their own bar and bar services. Two 40-foot long bars can be found with friendly bartenders serving strong drinks and even stronger conversations. The main dining room boasts views of both New York Avenue and the plush marble atrium of the adjoining building amidst its beautiful water fountain. This is an ideal place to meet for power lunches, family gatherings and late night dinners in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
