I stumbled onto this place and went in for lunch. It was very good! The staff was very friendly and appreciative. The empenadas were very, very hot and very good as well.

On a friday night with every other place packed we decided to go for a 6 piece combo pack. Served quickly and with a smile, we had a great meal! Very very very tasty empanadas. Wish they were available closer to home!

We stopped in on our first night in DC this trip, both of us loving empanadas. We were no disappointed. We got the "couples" combo with 8 empanadas so we were able to try a variety. The were delicious. The only downside is that the place looked slightly run-down. Nothing major, just detracted from the whole experience.

Great food! Great service. Only downside is that they don't serve beer. They have great options for meat lovers and vegetarians. Each empanada has different flavor and interesting combinations

Great selection and a unique choice for lunch in the Dupont Circle area. The restaurant and washrooms were very clean, the service quick and helpful, and the place filled with locals. Eat here for lunch.

My family loves to look for local finds that don't break the bank and have great flavor. Boy, did we find a gem. Great homemade flavors and their empanadas are not fried, they are baked. The sauces pair very well. And they have dessert empanadas as well! We ordered a dozen to split with our family of four, and that... More

We stopped in here for a late lunch. This place is a bit of a dive inside. You order at the counter and grab a rickety table that you may have to clean your self. We were a bit disappointed that they were out of 2 of the 4 types of empanadas, but what we ended up with was quite... More

The empanadas were tasty and unique, for a pretty decent price. We really enjoyed the sauces. Only regrets are that there wasn't more seating available and they ran out of one of the empanada choices.

This was my first time having empanadas and I was not disappointed. Panas has a wide range of flavors, both vegetarian and meat. I tried four different vegetarian ones and enjoyed each of them. Their blueberry maple dessert empanada was also tasty. I would definitely go back.

Description
Panas specializes in Latin fusion gourmet empanadas, crescent- shaped turnovers, stuffed with well seasoned combinations of meats, vegetables, spices, fruits, and sweets. Our recipes are inspired by the idea of Latin Fusion cuisine; a culinary concept based on creating new recipes by combining traditional and modern culinary techniques and mixing ingredients from different countries in the Americas. The only empanadas’ tradition we want to preserve is that empanadas a great idea and fun package for food.
