We went to El Rinconcito after a long day with the kids. This was the first time for all of us at a Salvadorian restaurant but as the cuisine is similar to that of other Latin American cuisines this was not an issue with my picky kids. The food was tasty with generous portions, service was very courteous though some... More

I found this place from reviews and overall the food did not disappoint. I tried a Salvadoran Beef Stew with some fried plantains. The beef and plantains were very good but the vegetables in the stew were a little overcooked but definitely still edible. The service was good but they had a television on at a high volume with a... Excellent food with a wide variety of options and reasonable prices. Best tamales and pupusas. Beef dishes are delicious. Nice servers. Very small with limited tables. Great for take out also.

Open till midnight Saturday. Nothing fancy inside. But an extensive menu of traditional Hispanic food and Salvadoran specialities. Good prices.

What a wonderful place. I wish I lived closer and could visit more often. 1. Camarones Guisados - a lovely shrimp stew with a tomato base. 2. Sopa de Res - fantastic soup/stew with lots of fresh vegetables, meats, broth, and plantain. 3. Pupusas (Loroco - corn tortilla stuffed with cheese and a flowering plant) served with some cabbage and... More

Authentic food. While it as highly rated I felt that at least what I got was not as expected. Usually when I go to a Mexican restaurant the food and plate are piping hot. This was not the case here. While it tasted fine - it was warm at best. Enchiladas just are not the same when they are warm... More

We had dinner here and were unsure of what to order. The menu was quite extensive. Our waitress was adorable. She made some suggestions for us that were perfect choices. Everything was very fresh.

Fast friendly service, good prices and authentic Salvadoran food. Small cozy place. Try to grab a window seat.

I got take-out from this place and was served very quickly despite the place being packed. It was really good and huge portions. This was the best value for my money meal I've ever gotten in DC. Some of the entrees I saw go by to other tables looked amazing. I will be back next time I'm in town for... More
