We were craving for some ribs but didn't want to go far after our day at the museums so Google Maps brought us to Kenny's. The place was tucked away a few blocks from the Capitol and is quite small. It can only accommodate probably about 20 people. We ordered all sorts of barbecue and bulgogi (korean) and everything was... More

If you love your bbq, and particular about taste, and quality, yet you want an affordable bbq meal, then this is the spot! Even the sides are good!

We've eaten here occasionally over the years. We find the ribs and other BBQ consistently good enough. Side dishes are good. It's not an inviting place to dine in, but you can if you have no other option. We always take out, but we live in the area. Portions are reasonable (you can get large or small), and service has... Good and huge pork ribs with an ocean of BBQ sauce. A lot of good food besides the ribs, for a very good price. Try it!

Order the small pork rib platter with collards and green beans. Order the hot BBQ sauce cause it's not that hot! With a Bud or a Heineken. Dare you to finish!!! The sides are enormous. The ribs great although some were a bit chewy on the outside!!! Ask them to pick the more tender cuts. Great food in a neighborhood... More

Had dinner with co-workers this evening. Got the small smokehouse platter, and it was enough for two! A little better than average, but not great. Was a nice change of pace from all the chain places around. Food was a little bland for my liking, but nothing a little salt and pepper didnt cure. I will most likely return in... More

We ate at Kenny's (then Hog Wild, but under the same ownership) the first day they opened. A lot has changed, but the food continues to be terrific. Good chopped, ribs, chicken, and even better sides -- macaroni and cheese, greens, etc. This is where I go to get a great family dinner when I don't feel like cooking.

The place is a dump, so take dinner out, but the food is worth the excursion. Kenny's has been around in DC since the 1980's (it moved from Mount Pleasant to Capitol Hill decades ago but so did I) so it's demonstrated its value many times.

I ordered a full rack of baby back ribs to go. I had been told that the food was good and that President Obama had eaten there. I couldn't wait to get home to enjoy my ribs, mac and cheese, and greens. When I opened the box, all I saw were BONES!! The small amount of meat that was on... More

And I know why President Obama dropped by to satisfy his BBQ needs a few weeks ago. It's not the atmosphere or decor. Think florescent lights and formica. It's not the service. There is none. Your order comes in a (environmentally incorrect) styrofoam clam shell and you have to go the counter to get it. It's not trendy craft beers... More
