The fish tanks with sea food-to-be swimming around, the Formica tables, the specials posted amid various newspaper clippings. When Chinatown was a booming two blocks, this was the decor. So, it's worth celebrating just from a historical perspective. The noodles really are pretty good. Gotta love the high sodium content that came with the food back in the 1950's and... More

We had dinner here tonight after logging a long day of walking to see the sights and marching for science. This was a suggestion from a friend who used to live in DC and it didn't disappoint! This is not run of the mill Chinese restaurant fare. All of the noodles and dumplings are made from scratch! I had the... More

The worst Chinese restaurant I have ever eaten at. We ordered pork dumplings. Tasted really bad, not cooked properly and they were sitting on a dirty sheet of cabbage. We also ordered roasted duck. 75% of it was fat and the meat tasted really bad. We also order veggies .. none of the food was good. It was so bad... More

The lunch menu is good. The food was OK. The hot and sour soup was watery. The food plate was enough for two people. The flavor was bland. I would go back to try a couple of items. The food comes out very quickly. The place is not much to look at. It is in Chinatown one block from the... More

I stumbled upon this place and saw a crowd of people outside so I thought it might be good. The place is pretty grubby. Some people call that "authentic." I had pork dumplings (gyoza) and some barbecued pork. The bbq was reasonably good when topped with the green chimichurri sauce. However the dumplings were quite possibly the worst I've ever... More

I am Chinese and my father ran a Chinese restaurant my whole life, so i understand how hard the business is. I don't like bashing this place but my experience was so awful that I need to share. So here goes. The owner is curt and dismissive. The place is dirty. The waitstaff is surly and combative. On top of... More

A little whole in the wall restaurant with great food at great prices. The Peking duck is tasty and our kids love the homemade noodles and dumplings. We try and get to the DC area every few years and make sure we stop in here.

Chicken Fried rice was good (pic). Chicken Noodle Soup lacked taste (pic). Chicken Lo Mein with Vegetables was good(pic). Spring rolls were supposed to be with "meat" hence "Spring Rolls" and they had shrimp. Wonton were good too. Duck and rice was good(pic).

Ambiance is a bit hectic and the place is a bit run down. The food, however, is very good. Noodles and shrimp were excellent

I found this place rather by random and learned they are known for fresh handmade noodles. Since I was hungry, I have it a shot. Food was great. I had the the egg rolls, combination fried rich, and pork dumplings. It gave me a second wind to keep walking would D.C. to see the sites. I'll go back next time... More
