Server was very knowledgeable about both food and wine selections. If you enjoy Italian food, this is a must-do when in Washington DC. Booked for 6:15 and glad we did; was frantic after 7:00.

We arrived at the restaurant without a reservation but this was not a problem as there were tables available. Be very careful at the elaborate description of the specials menu. All restaurants should show prices for their menus, including specials We felt $40 for a chop was very expensive. This was a third of our check for a 1 course... More

This Italian restaurant has very good food with prices high but fair. It is conveniently located just off du Pont Circle and provides valet parking. Pastas are said to be made in house and fish selections are extensive. The ambience is not to my liking. It is below ground, small, dark and noisy as the tables are very close together.

Needing a place close to DuPont Circle hotels, I did my online site research and found very good reviews of this place. Very intimate and surprisingly authentic Italian menu; hostess peppered her greetings with Italian intermixed, very cheery. Our server was also quite professional, though seemingly a native Spanish speaker. The daily special offerings were nearly as extensive as the... More

We dine in Chicago all the time, so we are accustomed to high prices, but $12 for a soup and $13 for salad seems outrageous. The restaurant food was good, not great and portions were small. Our server was very nice and it was a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. I'm not sure I would visit again though. The value for what... More

Went in for a quick lunch for 3 but came out with a huge bill..... The food and service were excellent but we all chose specials - beautifully described by our head waiter - all from memory. Of course, no prices against the specials and whilst the printed menu was a little expensive, the specials had special pricing. Took the... More

What a great dinner with amazing food and service. I had been here a long time ago and always remembered how great it was but now I will be back much sooner! Luigi designed my entire meal and can't wait to have the treat of him doing so again!!

I know its trendy but I can do better at home. The portions were tiny, the service was rushed, the place was noisy and the food was bland. For one person for a simple meal the price was over $50.00. Don't waste your time or money.

Met for lunch. Impressed by the service, the range of choice on the menu. We both had the fresh fish and a side of pasta. All great. Will come again.
