We had 60 minutes for lunch which isn't exactly enough for a truly French meal; however, Bistro du Coin was a great find. Escargot was good, but the steak tartare was my personal favorite. Service was excellent and the setting was good as well.

We walked pat this place at first. It looked so full. People went in and came back out saying it was too full. We moved on up the street and came back. Deciding that a little noise and chaos were o.k. for dinner. So GLAD...More

Firstly, this restaurant is located in a very convenient location, only a short walk from the Dupont Circle Metro station. I decided to try this restaurant out while on a business trip. When I arrived the restaurant was packed. Every single seat was taken. Since...More

We had a wonderful impromptu visit to the Bistro du Coin on our 33rd wedding anniversary. We were exhausted from our D.C. adventures, but decided that we couldn't sit out our anniversary dinner tradition. Lovely mussel options and traditional steak frites offerings. Reasonably priced and...More

Clean, quaint setting just a few blocks from Dupont Circle Metro stop. The server was friendly and attentive. I was disappointed with the asparagus salad, since it was only two small sprigs of asparagus over a bed of fresh greens and artichokes with slivered parmesan...More

I visit Washington regularly and always make it a point to stop in for a meal. As a former waitress I am a very good tipper. Last night I accidentally left 12%. The waiter chased me and my guests a block from the restaurant rudely...More

I came on a rainy day and had a reservation for three. The general manager made me wait for 20 minutes in the wet floor "to make sure that everybody is here" (from a party of three) even that the table was available. When I...More

We recently had dinner at this delightful restaurant. The weather was good and we were able to get a table at the wide open front window. Our server was knowledgable, and helpful. The meal was well paced. The menu was a long list of traditional...More

A very lively, and a bit noisy, French style bistro, from décor to the menu. Excellent food and wine and professional service. As a solo traveler I felt a bit lost in the crowd, so I might suggest it's a place to attend with friends....More

High energy restaurant in DuPont Circle, Washington. Great service. Very good food. Nice French wine list. No room for desert, but they looked great. Would recommend this restaurant. Hope to return on next visit to Washington.

Bistrot du Coin opened its doors on Memorial Day of 2000 by Yannis Felix and Michel Verdon. The motto is French, Fun and Friendly, this is our guideline to bring you the best experience ever at Bistrot Du Coin. The word Bistrot is defined in French as a neighborhood restaurant where you can eat good food at a fair price. The typical color of a French Bistrot is pale yellow to brown (otherwise known as Bistre) because the walls used to get dirty quickly from nicotine. Bistrot Du Coin is also known for its parties, three times a year to celebrate famous French events such as Bastille day on July 14th, The Beaujolais Nouveau on the third thursday of November or The New Year's Eve.
