Like anything/anyplace, if you know what to order, the experience usually is better...had the cabbage (yes, cabbage) pancake with chicken...a little too much sauce on the pancake and the chicken was dry, but the pancake was surprisingly tasty. My pot of tea just not hot, alas. Cheerful service. Still could use a deep clean/fresh face, but always is busy and... More

We were there at lunchtime on a national holiday so maybe the crowd was a little light, but line move quickly and there were so many choices that it was hard to choose. I had a Korean barbeque sandwich topped with slaw on ciabatta. The sandwich was piled high with big chunks of fork tender juicy brisket. By the time... More

I had the vegan coco caramel cake with their homemade lemonade. So delish. It is a super crowded place at lunch. I would like to try their hot teas next time. Everyone enjoyed the food except the oat fritter was quite gross that one of my friends ordered.

Hey - thanks for visiting and taking the time to review - glad you plan to visit again. I'm sorry the oatmeal fritter was disappointing - I'll look into that. Best, Linda More

Not exciting but reliably well-prepared asian-american food. Tuna bento box is a favorite but other good non-bento options. Lots of tea and other beverage options. Worth the line at lunch time. Look downstairs for more tables.

Hi - thanks for reviewing - you know it's funny - just this afternoon I was thinking about making a sign for the door for lunchtime saying - don't worry - the line moves fast and there are more seats downstairs! Find us on fb if you want - menu changes, upcoming event, etc! Thanks, Linda More

You come here for the tea. It's great that they also have food, but it is the tea in its special boxes that you can smell before ordering, the presumed and usual quiet, and just the variety of the tea itself that is so nice. In a hurried, coffee, A type world, it is great that tea made well is... More

Came here a few years ago on a trip to DC, and had to revisit this year! We got the salmon hand-roll and their fried chicken bento boxes. So good. Great for a nice break from the crowd and perfect for conversation over a tasty tea and lunch.

We had a light lunch here (delicious green gazpacho and a shrimp thing with noodles), which was so good we returned the same day for evening meal. The people remembered us and welcomed us back like old friends, which was truly impressive as they are so busy. People come in all the time, the system is to choose what you... More

Just stopped in for tea...disappointing...teas were not hot...honey didn't even melt in the water...place was busy...service slow...tables not clean...place not fresh...it has such a nice menu and potential but it just doesn't execute on the promise.

We go to this Teaism location because it's close to the Archives metro stop and it's very pleasant. We've enjoyed bento boxes, sushi, chicken salad, and other meals, all light, fresh and delicious. I tried the green gazpacho on my last visit - it's fantastic. We enjoy eating downstairs where it tends to be quiet and enjoy the fish swimming... More
