Loved the place. The food was amazing. I had the fried plantain, seafood tacos and steak tacos. All tasted great! The staff was friendly as well.

I'm lucky enough to live very close to this place. The people that run it are lovely, the food is delicious and it's so affordable. I have a gluten allergy and their pupusa's are tasty, filling and it's nice not be charged extra for having an allergy - these bad boys are naturally gluten free! Not a ton of seating... More

We decided to eat here one evening after seeing it on "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". It is as good as the show said. It does have limited seating and it doesn't take reservations so be prepared to get here early. The people working there are great and the food was really good. I loved the empanadas. It is an incredible... More

I am always looking for 'outside the box' places to eat and I sure found one here! The food was amazing, well seasoned, fresh, and overall delicious! We had a mix of almost all the menu items and were pleased with it all!

This place is literally a HOLE IN THE WALL. But it is SO good. Seriously tasty. I didn't think nachos could be this good. And the Pupusas are amazing - they were my first and I loved them. Every single one of us in a family of 6 (1 kid) loved the food.

We remain big fans of Tortilla Cafe. It's a great place to eat while browsing the Eastern Market farmer and flea markets. This is a small family owned and run restaurant that offers good food and that aims to please. If you ask for something different, they will provide it if they can. The food is Salvadoran and Tex-Mex, but... More

I totally love this little Mom and Pop Salvadorian cafe'. Super nice lady taking orders. Very helpful and great smile!! We had chicken burrito which was packed with flavor and super delicious!!! The pupusas were just like I had in Belize, where I fell in love with them!! While there I noticed signs that Diners, Drive inns and dives were... More

Reviews on this place were good but I was still very pleasantly surprised. My daughter had tamales and I had the Texas burrito. I was a little disappointed in the steak, more like pot roast but the plantains more than made up for it.
