Had a very tasty meal of wahoo here, with a good salad and nice bottle of wine. The beet salad was good, although with just the smallest amount of lettuce. Service was fine - a small place, but we got in without a reservation on a Tuesday evening. A bar occupies 1/4 of the space. A few steps to climb... More

We were staying in the hotel across the street, so read the review before trying this place. The reviews didn't disappoint. The popcorn shrimp is so good, slightly greasy, the 2 sauces that comes w it is nice. The lobster risotto is delicious. Linguini w clams is very good. The local trigger fish was prepared perfectly over wild mushrooms n... More

We went to Pesce for a family dinner out while on Spring Break in DC. We are foodies, so our expectations were fairly high given the reviews. The chalkboard menu of the day's menu offerings was a nice touch. The service was pleasant, but not speedy. We had the tuna & avocado tartare (excellent), lobster risotto (which was not served... I have been to Pesce twice in the past month. It's a quaint and intimate-without-being-truly-romantic restaurant off the Circle. The problem is that upon entering the restaurant, you are slapped in the face with the smell of fish. There is no escape from this smell, but once you sit down, your nose adjusts. The food is quite good. I've had... More

We shared the Octopus with polenta which was delicious! The walnut crusted walleye and salmon with leeks were both delicious! It was a great meal and great conversation with old friends! Thanks!

I know it's a seafood restaurant, but i think we were victims of a bait and switch. Three days before i saw Pesce's sign for a 3 course lobster themed meal on Tuesday featuring lobster bisque, lobster salad and a 1 lb maine lobster , $32 per person. They advised reservations ... so i made reservations. But when we were... More

Dear TouristaTB, First let me sincerely apologize for your experience. We do have a policy of holding Lobsters for reservations when specifically asked to at the time of reservation (or in the case of an online reservation a note made when placing it). Clearly we let you down. I will use this experience to better train my staff to pay... More

The name says it all. Get seafood here. We had lobster risotto and scallops with pasta. Scallops especially had delicious sauce and flavor. Desserts were OK, probably would get appetizer instead of dessert next time. But we will return!

Tucked into a "lobster special" dinner with lobster bisque, large chunks of lobster with beets in a tangy salad (I know, it sounds a little bit strange but was good), then a full lobster of about 1 pound. I loved every morsel. 'Twas a treat! followed by a large rich crème brulee. Yum

I ordered Tuna, it was served burned. Complaining to the server he just said it should be crispy. No try to make me happy . The quality has much degraded since last year. 30 dollars for main dish and on top you are still hungry! I recommend to avoid !

Management response:

Dear Anne B, Thank you for your review of Pesce. I wish your experience was a happier one. As the Chef/Owner (Chef for a few years, so I was at the helm on your previous visit) I can say that the Tuna is indeed meant to be quite charred on the outside so as to release the flavors of the... More

I had the bronzino which was very good. I asked that it be de-boned and it was. My wife had pasta with scallops. This also looked very good and the pasta was made at the restaurant. An extra few scallops would have been better, but the dish was very tasty. When my wife and I arrived, only 2 tables had... More
