Went to Al Crostino before a show at Lincoln Theater. The "deconstructed" lobster lasagna was exceptional. Osso bucco like what an Italian grandmother would make. I could make a meal of the accompanying Cannellini beans! Branzino was very fresh and tasty. Great that you can have 1/2 orders of pasta dishes as a primi. Combined with very attentive and friendly... More

This place was a fantastic reminder of a 2015 jaunt down the Adriatic, with warm service and fantastic food/wine. Very much like my favorite Italian restaurants from that trip, though more expensive--I guess, factor in the plane fare and it's super cheap, even with a weak Euro.

Went to this restaurant a few nights ago with friends. It was a nice, open and modern setting with food to match. Scanty wine list to pair with food that favors lighter takes of Italian favorites- the bruschetta was large but somewhat soggy, the prosciutto focaccia a bit light on the prosciutto but tasty, the turbot with arugula special was... I'm an Italian-American who loves to cook - and I mostly cook the Italian food I grew up eating. My mom is one of the best cooks I know. When I go out to eat - I usually stay away from Italian restaurants--- except Al Crostino. The chef owner Julian is a first class Italian Chef. Every offering on the... More

Great Italian food option. We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation and were promptly seated. Service was wonderful. Short wine list, but we found a bottle that worked. Bread was the only disappointment of our meal. Scallop appetizer was amazing as was the swordfish and dessert. Wish we had room for one of the pasta options. We will... More

We went for my birthday. The apps were very good--grilled octopus, flatbread and meatballs. Mostly pasta for mains--irregular shapes with mushrooms was the best. Otherwise, portions were somewhat small and pricey. Desserts were also very good, including the gift of tiramisu. Parking not so easy. Overall, we enjoyed.

Excellent attention and you feel in family all time. Good selection of wines and you can accept recommendations from the owner and you go safe.

This family owned and run restaurant has excellent food and service. The neighborhood is a little sketchy so I recommend that you take a taxi or Uber to and from.

If you want to get a feel for Old World hospitality and fine Italian cooking, visit Al Crostino! The service was friendly and efficient (all the waitstaff is part of the same family), and the food was excellent. Would definitely come here again.
