Our host recommended this restaurant to us, so we took the whole family. Everyone enjoyed it. Our son said of the Mediterranean Chicken, "Best chicken I have ever had!" Our daughter loved the trout & so did I. My wife thought the lamb kabobs were really good! (Too bad we don't get to DC more often.)

Friends took us there. (We paid) They are still friends, but when I asked my wife how she liked it, she said: "good bread and olive oil" The pastitsio was good but I've had better. My wife said her fish was only average. Service was friendly and efficient, but I have no reason to go back

Everything here is great -- straightforward, simple dishes right from the Greek islands. Very good grilled fish, terrific shrimp dishes and chicken. Desserts are top rate, particularly the baklava!

This is that "hole in the wall" family owned "great find" restaurants! Was with family there and we ordered a variety of appetizers and food. Every plate was amazing. If you know your Greek food and you have your favorites, they have it... or they may make it for you...!

Great neighborhood spot for excellent Greek food. It's got the typical Greek menu items (and they're prepared pretty well) but my favorite thing is the grilled octopus. It takes a lot of skill to get the marinade just right, and leave it on the grill long enough to get seared, but not overdone. It's tender and not tough. Nice work.

The Parthenon is a bustling, busy small restaurant. The service is excellent. The menu is substantial & the food very good. The tables are quite close together, but the atmosphere is conducive to conversation. A very pleasant restaurant to enjoy a very good Greek meal!

We celebrated my friends 70th at the Parthenon Restaurant last night and it was a truly wonderful time. While we waited for the birthday girl we began the evening with appetizers of taramasalata and tyropitas...both EXCELLENT renditions...the tarama was served with warm slices of melt in your mouth fresh hot pita and perfect bread. The tyropita was light, flaky and... More

Great Mediterranean/Greek family owned restaurant. We were there with family, and 2 young children, and all were accommodated with no problems. Wait staff was prompt and friendly, and food was sufficient and satisfying. I usually judge Greek restaurants by the appetizers, and of the Spanakopita (spinach and cheese pie) and Tzatziki (yogurt/cucumber dip) are good, then all else has to... More

We had tzatziki for appetizer, very good but too much garlic that came to hunt us all at night, so stay away from it if you're sensitive to garlic. We had moussaka, stuffed grape leaves and gyro, all of it was very good, well seasoned. The staff is pleasant and knowledgeable about their dishes. A little on the pricey side,... More
