This place seems to be under the wrong name. It should be Tony Cheng. Old school décor and food, which was good. I really enjoyed the spicy garlic scallops and shrimp. Paper thin wonton wrappers crisp up really nicely for the crab cheese wontons. I really enjoyed our meal for ordering spicy and I am not sure if that is... More

You feel like you're in the 1950's but there is no nostalgia. Food is days old and very greasy. Pork spareribs were from yesterday; no marinate or spice. Decor is in serious need of updates. Service is fast, though, so if you want to eat and run bad food, this is the place. We were here for dim sum some... More

We went in for lunch on Boxing Day. The restaurant was packed. Service was good despite the long line and lots of people. I had the hot and sour soup. Tasted ordinary -- nothing too hot or too sour and no distinctive tastes. I followed with Hunan pork. The pork was cooked very well but the vegetables were overcooked and... More

We picked this place based on the authentic-looking exterior. We were hesitant walking in because there weren't many people in there... we sat down, we're served tea, and started to look at the menu when a mouse ran across the floor of the second floor restaurant. Gross! Needless to say, we went elsewhere.

Very good. They came around with a cart that had different food items in it. I have no idea what we got but it was delicious.

This restaurant is located just inside of China Town and can be walked to if you are staying in Central Downtown Washington DC. It is located on the second floor and you must navigate some steps to get there. It has your traditional Chinese dishes with a variety of choices and the lunch menu is reasonably priced. The restaurant is... More

This was our first night out dining in DC and decided on China Town. This place looked promising and authentic like with quite a pricey menu so we decided to stay and experience our first chinese restaurant in DC. Well, definitely felt rushed and I may have taken long but the menu has a lot of great choices. Once we... More

The name is Tony Cheng, not Tong. The Mongolian restaurant is on the first floor. A narrow set of steps to the second floor gets you to what I suspect was a best-in-town seafood restaurant 50 years ago. The pau-pau platter was excellent. So was the orange beef, which is my favorite here.

Very satisfying menu, many choices to choose from. Sufficient quantities to satisfy the hungry appetite. Price is reasonable for quality and quantity of meals.
