Interesting assortment of foods but much of what we tried was generally lacking in flavor. We had a chimichanga, crawfish soup and fried bread.

we went based upon the great reviews and it made me wonder if we were even at the same restaurant. cafeteria style with "regional specialties" offered. the food was grossly overpriced, for the tex mex style dishes offered. truly the concept didn't even make sense....More

Our guide told us the food at the Mitsitam Cafe was really good & eclectic, so we decided to give it a try. We order the Indian Taco and the Carne Asada tacos. Both were decent; not bad, but nothing exceptional.

We had seen glowing reviews of this museum Cafe, and we weren't disappointed. We split a bowl of soup and one entree -- this was too much for two hungry tourists. The corn broth soup with buffalo meat balls was savory and delicious. Should have...More

Provides a variety of Indian food dishes from different parts of the country. Fairly tasty, however a little pricey.

My husband and my children loved this cafe. They couldn't get enough of the native tacos and fry bread. I, on the other hand, was disappointed. Prior to our trip I was so excited to be able to eat native tacos again (I crave them...More

We loved Mitsitam! After learning so much in the museum's exhibits, it was fun to see the range of choices in the cafe reflecting the different geographic regions and differences between American Indian nations' cuisines. I do wish we had been better prepared for the...More

What food options do they have for an extremely picky 8 year old? (In other words when we go out to eat he typically only will get grilled cheese with fries or pizza.)

The style is kind of mix and match. The Northern Woodlands is the best bet for the picky kid, but you may want to mention burger and fries and not necessarily that it's bison. There is also turkey dinner that if the child... More
