Had the tarragon chicken salad on a croissant and coffee...anything special, no, not really. Good though, but not noteworthy in any way...croissant not flaky nor buttery, chicken salad rather blah and too much greens...might have been nice to have a tomato, but they didn't ask and I didn't know. Coffee OK. Relatively clean, nice service.

We needed fuel before a long day of touring in DC, and fire hook was our closest and quickest option. The massive croissant sandwiches were surprisingly light and fluffy, The coffee was very good. There is seating so you can dine in or take out. There are not a ton of options outside of traditional breakfast sandwiches but if that... More

Can't stop thinking about the yummy brownie I bought here on two different days. It is wonderful for a treat and coffee after a day of walking it off in DC

Was looking for a really good coffee shop close to the Capitol and this is the place. The baked goods were fresh, the staff awesome and the coffee was great. Highly recommend over Starbucks!

The coffee and treats at Firehook look swell, but fall short on taste and style. The service is fine and the prices are correct, but you can do better. Just look around!

I didn't try any of the pastries but just stopped by for a cup of coffee. Got their standard drip coffee (not a espresso with water added) with nothing added since I'm doing the whole30. Getting standard black coffee that isn't bitter and stale is tougher than you'd imagine. This place's coffee was good...

This Firehook used to be delicious and worthwhile. There was a fire in the restaurant above this Firehook, so they closed for three months. Upon reopening, the quality of the products (especially the coffee) was much lower. I have gotten coffee two times here since it reopened. Once, the coffee was unbelievably weak. The second time, the coffee was burned.... More

I love Firehook. The food and the drinks are delicious. The coffee is so good I don't need to put sugar in it. be sure to grab a massive cookie (great for sharing) or brownie! Whenever I'm in town doing work at the Library of Congress, I always make a point of stopping here

We always split a muffin and some coffee and get work done here on the weekends. A great place for kicking back on a Sunday afternoon.
