With two or three in the Washington DC area. Very good French pastries. The bread is good too. This is essentially a French bakery. Sadly while it's good by US bakery standards where so many bakeries have closed up, the European version is far superior.

We stopped at the Paul before a day of sightseeing. The coffee was very good and hot. The pastry selections seemed somewhat limited unless you want anything-with-chocolate for breakfast. The bill for two coffees and two pastries was more than we would typically spend at...More

Their French vanilla brew is out of this world. It’s almost like being in France with French pastries and coffees. Their macaroons are almost too pretty to eat. One of my faves when I’m not in the mood for a basic cup of Starbucks coffee.

I had a cup of tea and a pear torte and nearly flipped when it came to nearly 10 dollars. No ther are better places to go that one does not have to spend so much.

You will find these in some big cities across the US. The first time I tried Pauls was in Miami. We now have several in Washington, DC. Really nice treats.

If you want a sandwich or breakfast that is several cuts above the standard experience, go here. Delicious bread, excellent food and drinks, and their "hot dog", and everything. Excellent for munchies, brunch, a lunch on the go, snacks...

The restaurant we wanted was full so we went to Pauls instead for brunch. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. I had Swiss cheese and spinach omelet which was pretty good. It came with a small salad but...More

Stopped in for a croissant after visiting the nearby Textile Museum. Pleasant service, nice selection of pastries and sandwiches, and a comfortable seating area made it a good choice for a reviving snack.
