If you are in town and want fresh seafood cooked south america style: this is the place. Jalea (a combination of fish, shrimp and others) and the traditional Peruan ceviche are a must on this place, attention is excellent and price is rigth too

Visited this restaurant while in DC, the meal was superb and the staff could not have been friendlier The ceviche and lomo saltado ( basic staples of Peruvian cuisine ) were delicious. Strongly recommend this place! We will return next time we visit DC

In Adams Morgan neighborhood, a very nice Peruvian place. As Argentininans, it was very nice to eat some ethnic food while listening excellent Latin music. The service is excellent, prices are acceptable, and the food is really, really good. Strongly advisable is the dessert called Suspiro a la Limena

Very cute, small restaurant with buena onda. Food was excellent and the ceviche was very fresh and the perfect appetizer. Service is a bit slow but worth it.

Definitely the best Péruvien restaurant in the DC area. Mostly the duo de ceviche and the sudado de pescado are just delicious!

Excellent meal, excellent service! Fantastic flavours and couldn't fault our experience in any way. Cocktails were interesting we had the Mango sour and Pomegranate Sour... followed by Cebiche and two different platter dishes. So good. Highly recommend.

We planned dinner here based on other reviews and the fact that we wanted to check out Adams Morgan neighborhood. The neighborhood was eclectic and fun to wander. This restaurant looks unassuming from the outside, but do not be deceived. Inside was small but welcoming. We started with the Pisco Sour which was delicious and just a bit sweet. The... More

Came here for NYE expecting a delicious, special meal and was pretty dissapointed. The dishes missed the mark - too rich, too spicy, too cold, too bland... nothing was AMAZING. PRO: I'd say the best dish a stuffed yucca appetizer. CONS: Pisco sour was about 4 sips for $12. The seafood pasta was WAY too heavy. The complimentary bread they... More

We had a very good dinner at Las Canteras. The service was great and the complimentary bread, butter and very spicy sauce was enjoyed. The bottled beer prices start at $5.00 each. The entree prices were about $18.00 each and the asparagus was a side order. Las Canteras is not an inexpensive place to dine but we enjoyed it.

I discovered the great flavors of Peruvian food too late in life, but I found Las Canteras just in time. Every friend I take there loves it! They are friendly as well...this is a must visit...enjoy!
