We came for the first time this past weekend. I've had several great meals at Mintwood and had always wanted to try the sister restaurant. Though I liked the restaurant layout better at Convivial, I liked the food at Mintwood better. Several mixed scotch/bourbon drinks...More

This neighborhood resto provides delicious French items not regularly appearing on menus such as brandade de morue. The service was fast and efficient by waiter Kevin. Parking available in the building. We will be back soon.

I had a very creamy and delicious quiche here served over perfect greens. My friend asked about dairy free and was presented with a complete alternative menu that had dairy free and gluten free items. The chef is French and the influence is evident in...More

It was our first time at Convivial, and we were excited, given all the raves. The food was a disappointment. Dish after dish was just so-so. They all tasted incomplete or imbalanced. The famous chicken for two with tarragon sauce was nothing to write home...More

I probably would have given this a higher rating if there hadn't been sustained banging going on behind the other side of the wall (sitting on banquette in main dining room) for the first 1/2 hour of our meal. And the weird thing was the...More

Convivial seems rather undiscovered given just how good the food is here. One of the amazing things that they offer is a whole roasted a chicken, complete with buttery, chunky mash potatoes, and roasted vegetables. I don't like carrots and I like their roasted carrots....More

I travel globally for work and most of the time I’m adventurous and trying something new every night. But every once in a while, I find a place that brings me back every night. This is one of those places. The food... every dish I...More

I had a soft shell crab appetizer -- maybe the best softie I have ever eaten. Also had a beef tartare that was excellent. There is a nice selection of wines by the glass to suit all tastes. Server/bartender was extremely knowledgeable and attentive. Lots...More
