Maria's is a convenient locale for our family and friends, and is easy to find. The service is generally very good (and better when it's not during the dinner rush), and the food is a notch above their competition.

Tasty flavorful dishes at reasonable prices. It's nice that you can order regular or small sized pastas. Dependable service and kid-friendly. If you didn't know beforehand it was a chain you'd think it was a local neighborhood gem.More

Was in town on business, and needed a quick early dinner. Very nice dining experience. I had the Brussel Sprouts appetizer - highly recommended. The meat lasagna was the main course, and it was very well done. Would definitely return for this same menu!

Good local Italian restaurant with average Italian fare. Nice to sit outside and enjoy a lite lunch or dinner with glass of wine. A good local hangout.

We like to eat and bring our out of town friends here also. The food is very good. The restaurant is fairly small and we like to eat on the patio where it is a little quieter.

I'm not into pasta, so Italian restaurants can be lost on me. This one isn't. Fantastic soups that can be served without the pasta. Great service.

Description
TO GET THE MOST AUTHENTIC ITALIAN FOOD, YOU NEED AUTHENTIC INGREDIENTS Maria’s Italian Kitchens is one of those grand American success stories. Maria’s Italian Kitchens often remind guests of the casual, sometimes boisterous, neighborhood eateries of another era. It began in the Italian quarter of Hoboken, New Jersey, where Madelyn’s mother, Maria, grew up learning the recipes for real Italian food of Naples from her mother, Luisa. This home-grown education in the fundamentals of Napolitano sauces, soups, dressings, ravioli, lasagna and other regional fare was put to delicious use in 1968 when the Alfano’s and their five young children moved to Los Angeles and bought a tiny grocery store called the “Village Mart” in L.A.’s prestigious Brentwood Village located at Barrington Street and Sunset Blvd. and converted the one car garage into the first Maria’s Italian Kitchen in 1975. She must have learned her lessons well because that first Maria’s Italian Kitchen was a huge success.
