Love the food and the service... This a small place, but once you get in, the food is worth the wait. Food is so tasty. I love the vegetarian options as well. If you are too hungry to wait... Order "to go" it just as good. Yummy! I would definitely recommend Burma Superstar!

I had their rainbow salad that was really salty but their good service made up for it. I would still go back there.

We met friends on a busy Wednesday night at Burma Superstar in Alameda. They had arrived first, so we sat down to Burmese Samusas and...something else, both very welcome in our mouths. We also shared a bowl of fried lotus root with a tea leaf aioli. My choice for main shares was the delicious pumpkin pork stew. Enjoyed some sesame... More

This restaurant is great for eat-in or take-out. The dishes are very creative and flavorful. The Tea Leaf Salad is an absolute "must." Mango chicken is delicious. Actually, everything that we have ordered has been very satisfying.

We shared five or six flavourful dishes with our friends who live in Alameda and are Burma Superstar regulars, and I was happily full at the end. Everything was delicious, but I particularly enjoyed the samusas, the pumpkin pork stew (so unusual!), and the shrimp. If we hadn't been there for dinner, I would have ordered the signature tea leaf... More

We had never eaten Burmese food before and were THRILLED by this resto. EXCELLENT, attentive service, even educational as the waiter knew the history of the dishes; delicious food, all very fresh. In fact, the portions are large so our family of 4 needed only 2 dishes to fill us up. Reasonably priced. Loved it.

My office gets take out from here sometimes. It can be a bit pricey but now days most unique eats are. The flavors you get here are very unique and definitely set your mouth on overload. Definitely a must try!

I find this branch of Burma Superstar uneven. I've had a dish or two there that I thought was the best of the genre, yet when ordered again was entirely lackluster. My other concern with this restaurant is how very crowded it gets. I do not believe it's good enough to merit the kind of lines it gets--it feels more... More
