I have lived in the East Bay for 15 years. I have eaten here more times than any other restaurant. If I had to guess, I'd say I've been here 40 times over the years. The food is that good! I'm vegetarian but my husband isn't. Our favorite are: palak paneer, dal, chicken tikka masala, raita and the chai. Don't... More

This is the dinner spot that everyone in my family can agree on. Dishes range from mild to spicy, all with delicious hearty flavor. You won't regret the basic naan and chicken tikka masala, plus there's hot milky tea for free while you wait for your takeout to be prepared. Prices are mid-range, about $8-9 for an item.

Had dinner here and loved it. Excellent vegetarian options like masalas, curried cauliflower, naans, samosas, biryanis but the eggplant dish was so good I bought 1 for each of us to take home.

As an Indian restaurant this place is just okay. As a take-out option we love having it on Solano. Personally, I think the chicken and lamb wraps are the best thing going here aside from the delicious, rich chai. Chai is free when you eat in and a bargain, $1.50 to take out. The various dishes served on rice are... More

Recently moved to East Bay from the DC area, and headed to House of Curries for a bite with friends. I hadn't had tikka masala in months and was really looking for it. When it arrived, I hurriedly grabbed some naan, rice, and a piece of smothered chicken and....man. What a let down. Flavorless. Aside from the naan (which was... More

The food was alright, the seasoning a bit mild for my taste, and their sauces were not as complex as some places I've been, could have used a bit more heat. It was busy when I got my pick-up order, but part of that could be due to convenient location and the prices were a few $ less than similar... More

I rated House of Curries average, but for a fast food place, it really should rate higher. The nan is huge and we appreciate being able to adjust the heat of the curries. The times we've ordered have been at the end of the week when I was too exhausted to cook dinner. House of Curries filled our order quickly... More

2 for dinner, Saturday night. Lamb curry fatty and tasted like curry powder. Shrimp dish mediocre, not very tasty. Naan great. Maybe an off night. Hope so.

A friend and me enjoy this place every Friday night. Tasty food, good portions, nice workers and low pricing. What's not to like?!

The chicken tandoori was average and portion was small. The curry dish was alright but nothing to write home about. I did not feel that I got my money's worth.
