We had dinner reservations at the Imperial Hotel Restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday and had a wonderful time. We arrived a bit early and while our table was being prepared, the hostess served us a glass of wine in the bar. The bar area is beautifully restored, full of charm and elegance - you can just imagine the folks... More

First visit to this restaurant. Service was ok, and it was quiet enough that you could talk and be heard. The Ravioli appetizer was presented poorly and was of average quality. I had the Steak Frite which was very good, the mashed potatoes were average and the aspargus very good. The apple cake and vanilla ice cream was poorly plated,... More

Classic old hotel with a great bar and restaurant. Had breakfast out on their front patio. I stayed across the street in the old Supervisor's cottage. Mid-way between Plymouth & Sutter Creek, so location is perfect.

We had a charming brunch, the decor, food and service were impeccable and full of charecter. Though dining with kids – everyone found something they liked on the menu. Recommended for travelers who wish to immerse in the vibe of gold rush era towns.

After fitting us same day wasn't enough! Their food and service was top notch! Our server had just returned from living in Hawaii and didn't miss a beat on knowledge of the menu and timing of everything. There was a special holiday menu that our husbands had which was dungeness crab chowder, green salad with citrus vinaigrette, bistro steak and... More

Stayed in the cottage. Comfortable bed. Clean. Walls are a bit thin as you can easily hear the tv going in the next room. Included breakfast was just good.

The restaurant and staff handled our group of 18 with care and efficiently. We were seated in a side area with plenty of space between us and other diners. Well done. Good draft beer from Amador Brewing Company. I ate the grilled polenta with onions and mushrooms in an average red sauce, spinach was a welcome side. The bread was... More

The dining room, located in the hotel, has the old exposed brick walls and you can feel the gold rush era. The old bar is also fun to see. My husband really enjoyed his duck but my pasta was overcooked and my salad was drowning in dressing, so I can't rate the food too highly. Service was very good. There... More

Went in with a small group of couples and each couple got separate checks the house added 20% tip. Well OK but the tip was calculated after 8% tax was added so I guess I tipped Jerry Brown 20% too. These people must think their customers can't do math.

Three of us had dinner on the patio in front of the hotel last Saturday. The village had a wine tasting event and there was an open air auction across the street for a charity event. On another corner there was life music provided with pleasant old songs (incl. Beatles). The atmosphere was great. Our waitress recommended the course of... More
