3 friends for dinner. Had Chicken, ribs, tri-tip. With sides of greens, beans, coleslaw and pasta salad. Corn bread with every order. And sweet potato pie for dessert. Generous portions. sauces were excellent. Order the spicy sauce, lots of flavor, not much heat. Every dish was delicious. All the sides were excellent homemade. Everyone at the table had a different... More
Our niece told us about this place and how great the chicken was so we tried it. As they say "no account for taste". I had the chicken & rib combo, wife had the catfish sandwich . Ribs where cooked nice, tender, moist the dry rub was OK, the BBQ sauce was not very good. The chicken was good but... More
I like everything here! It's hard to order here because everything is fresh and delicious. The plates are so packed that I have to skip dessert.
Oh and the food was good too! $60 Bucks chicken and ribs..family style meal fed 5 adults and two children under 6. I was looking forward to having a beer with the meal but the meal made up for it. Ordering g up front was easy with the help of staff. We had some crispy sweet potatoes fries that were... More

Not sure what happened to the reviewers below but I've been here dozens of times and it's the best BBQ I've ever had. Every time I travel I try a local BBQ joint and have found some good ones, but none even come close to House of Chicken & Ribs. The tri-tip, prawns, and pork ribs are simply amazing! Done... More
Maybe the worst BBQ in the Sacramento area. I ordered 2 plates to go. A three item mini sampler with sausage, pork ribs, tri tip, okra, collard greens and beans. The other plate was the half order of fried chicken with Mac & cheese and coleslaw. The sausage, pork and tri tip may have been good but they drown everything... More
