This fantastic restaurant is located in the back of a mall. Follow the signs for Brookside Grill. It is worth the walking distance. The setting has a great outside feeling. The wait staff are very friendly and outgoing. On Friday the clam chowder is fantastic. The chill and guacamole burger is also fantastic. When I took home some chili, the... More

Had lunch in this beautiful restaurant. The food was all delicious. Their peanut slaw was great. Had some homemade split pea and ham soup that was excellent too. The veggie sandwich was stunning. Service very friendly and efficient. Best part was sitting outside next to the creek. Not fancy but terrific.

My husband and I had already eaten, but were so intrigued, after discovering the patio from the back, that we walked around the building and came in for just a drink. Love this place!

This is not a place to be missed. We happened upon this small gold country-esque village and decided to stop and have something for lunch. I had the breakfast but option and the help yourself service was great with lots of choice; but the chef came and asked me if I wanted an omelet with my breakfast. I said yes... More

Don't miss this place!!! We just happened to stumble upon the Grill while walking around the old town streets. The only real way to know they exist is to either already be a fan, or to see the sandwich board sign on the sidewalk. They are located in the very back of the little hallway of shops. This is a... Wait staff has a lot to learn when it comes to waiting tables. You should bring your customers the condiment basket, I had to get my own, you should make sure your customers have their utensils and know where they are when asked for them, you should not be discussing your feelings about people on welfare where customers can hear... I love the Portobello Mushroom sandwich. Outranks most other sandwiches for me. It's a nice atmosphere, especially when it is warmer outside. I find it romantic and noise free. It's a little hard to find. Go to the back of the old town mall, it's hidden because it is creekside.

We stopped in on a chilly December afternoon while checking out Old Town Auburn on our way back from skiing. The ambiance was really nice with rustic décor and added Christmas touches. The wood burning stoves fit the motif and warmed the place nicely. It was buried in the back of a cute little row of indoor shops on the... More

Great Sunday Brunch, along the brook in the beautiful outdoor setting at Brookside Cafe. The brunch was very good, service was great and the ambience was superb. Will definitely be back.

We had a fun adventure there, almost like being in a tree house. Tables on the upper level were too high for a 72 year old with a cane, so we sat in the lower section by the fire. Food and service were ok, although a little slow. Plenty left over to take home for later Waitress was shouted at... More
