We were very exited to eat there as we had read many good reviews. The place was very crowed and the line to order food was long even though it moved fairly well. Order takers at the counter were helpful and polite however they got our order wrong or the servers screwed up. The chicken tostada salad looked like vomit... More

It's a counter service place with lots of seating and great food. Chips and salsa are plentiful. We had different plates and tacos of carne asada and all were good. Enjoyed a couple of reasonably priced happy hour margaritas.

I was out shopping today and as I usually do, I asked a security guard, "Where is the best Mexican food in town?" He smiled and said "For the absolute best food, go to the La Tolteca on Azusa Ave. AND order the Number 8 - it's big enough for two people." So we did. Incredible. It was like walking... More

My family has loved La Tolteca aka Teka for years. The food is always exceptional and huge portions. The service is also awesome. Many work parties here since they moved from the smaller location down the street.

I eat out everyday. This is one of my favorite spots to eat. The food is authentic, great and reasonably priced. The chips and freshly made salsa and guacamole are a must. Everything on the menu is good. My favorite are the chicken tacos and chicken tostada. It's not fancy but it's really good. I will continue to eat here... More

Very casual dining. Order food from the counter, find a table, and the food is then served to you. Reasonably priced. Very populat with the Azusa crowd.

We went to La Tolteca due to the fact that Guadalupe's was closed for remodeling. We hadn't been in for a while because this seems to be the norm for us when we go here. I know that MANY customers are very happy. I ordered the Chili Verde dinner. When it arrived, I looked through the peppers for the pork.... More

This a great spot for Mexican food. Their tamales and chile relleno are tasty. The food is served with refried beans and rice. My husband usually gets their menudo and says it is good. Some of their plates arent the most authentic but it is a good weekend spot if you want tamales during the year. For those that do... More

Get the combination plate! A taste of everything. I get the flour tortillas that come with it so I can make little burritos out of the chile verde, rice and beans. There will be plenty to take home so start with the fried items that won't be great the next day. Eat the shredded beef taco and taquito first then... More
