We go every year during the holiday season - you will wait for a table but this place is well worth the wait. Toro tartar w caviar & Broiled Black Cod w Miso & Sea Bass w truffle were amazing. Love that they have a gluten-free menu! Great sake menu. If you're price conscious, don't go. Blow it out on... More

My husband and I visited Matsuhisa our first night in Aspen. We sat at the bay and ordered sushi and the new style scallops. I was not a fan of the scallops but my husband liked them. The sushi was great quality. The prices are a little high. The quality was average for the price range

I took my wife here for her 30th and had an exceptional dinner. The new style sashimi scallops and the tempura king crab were highlights. The sushi is so fresh and the quality of the fish is top notch. We had the bento box with a candle in it to wrap up the meal. This is one meal that we'll... More

One of the most expensive places I've had dinner at in my life, not worth the price in my opinion. The service was very good, the wine was over priced (not unusual for Aspen everywhere), the food was good. We ate at three other well ranked places in Aspen on this trip, none of them were cheap. I would return... More

Finally went there after being told how wonderful the food is. We were highly disappointed with most of what we ordered. We have had great sushi at many wonderful restaurants including other Nobu's in a variety of locations. We live in Las Vegas and we have several there that are far superior and which are not located on the strip,... More

The menu is confusing and small plates to share are encouraged. The shrimp tempura was the best and good as a dish for one person. Our bill for a table of six was hundreds of dollars, and none of us were full!

Four of us had dinner here. Three of us order a Toban Maki all three were over cooked and too salty. It was supposed to be citrusy. We sent it back and it took our waiter 15 minutes to come back and see if we wanted something else. He had a poor attitude to entire time, but once he realized... More

The fish quality was amazing, whether it was Sushi or Sashimi or whatever! We ordered several meat dishes, which was very average. The Salmon sushi and the black cod were some of the best I have ever had! Pricy like everything in Aspen! The place is packed as usual, despite that the service was first class. Of course you must... Matsuhisa Aspen is nestled beneath a quaint victorian house in the mountain town of Aspen Colorado and features the cuisine of world renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa. Japanese-inspired seafood and sushi, as well as an ultra-hip scene and lively bar crowd can best describe Matsuhisa Aspen. We are a continuation of Matsuhisa L.A., Nobu New York, Nobu London and may more locations around the world.
